The  expanded perlite is one kind of white granule with Honeycomb structure inside and it is produced when Perlite ore Preheated and Instantaneous high temperature roasted. The Principle is that expanded perlite is crushed by the ore, dealt with the rapid heating (1000ºC above). After the moisture vaporization ores and minerals in the particles soften internal expansion, the formation of porous structure, expansion to the original 10-30 times.It is divided into two types according to expansion technology and usage and they are open cell and closed cell.

Expanded perlite application areas:

Architecture: insulation and heat insulation of building roofs and walls; lightweight aggregates of building materials;

Industrial: Dip-pressed hydrophobic perlite insulation board, sound absorbing panel, partition wall panel, fireproof panel, etc.;

Deep cold, low temperature engineering insulation, industrial equipment, pipeline insulation, etc.;

Agriculture and horticulture: soil improver, soilless culture substrate, pesticide retardation agent;

Others: filter aids, fillers, abrasive materials, slag materials for steelmaking processes, etc.
